Where Instinct
Meets Craft

Master Your Own Vulnerability

At Actor's Instinct Studio, we believe developing as an actor is a journey of exploration and growth. Our workshops offer a supportive but challenging space to build technique, trust instincts and strengthen craft.

As you progress, opportunities open to put that training into practice through screen projects, theatre and industry workshops. We aim to support actors at every stage, connecting training with meaningful steps towards the industry.

From Meisner to Method. Discover Our Way

At Actor's Instinct Studio, the Meisner Technique forms the foundation of our training, helping actors move beyond intellectual choices towards truthful, instinctive behaviour in performance.

Through repetition exercises, progressively challenging activities and moment-to-moment behavioural work, actors learn to listen, respond impulsively and become fully engaged with their scene partners and circumstances.

Building on the foundations of the Meisner Technique, we've developed our own distinctive approach to behavioural disturbance at Actor's Instinct Studio. This work challenges habitual patterns, introduces unpredictability and pushes actors beyond their comfort zones, encouraging spontaneous, truthful responses under pressure. As training progresses, these principles are incorporated into character development and scene work, allowing actors to live truthfully within their characters rather than simply perform them.

Alongside this work, we incorporate complementary disciplines including Method Acting, movement, voice work and long-form dramatic improvisation, encouraging greater emotional freedom, spontaneity and versatility in performance.

Creating my showreel with Richard at Actor's Instinct Studio was a rewarding experience from start to finish. The whole process, from selecting the right scenes, rehearsing and developing the characters, to planning locations and preparing for the shoot, felt incredibly fun and exciting. Every stage became a learning experience in itself.

Long standing studio and company member. Played Jess in The Old School Yard 2025 @ Kings Head Theatre

The Actors Instinct Studio introduced me to the Meisner technique which taught me the importance of connecting with other actors and discovering the truth in a scene. The studio provides a non judgmental environment where you can experiment and learn from other actors.I was able to shoot my first showreel with the studio and perform at respected off west-end theatres like the King’s Head in a lead role. All this contributed to me getting my first agent, which before joining did not seem like a possibility for me.
